I’m generally not a big fan of ramen, however for the sake of letting my friend try something new, we went to a ramen place along Akihabara. Surprisingly enough, I found out later on that this was quite a popular ramen shop too.
They use the vending-machine process, which is especially useful for non-Japanese-speaking customers as it also has options for the menu in English, Chinese and Korean. After getting a ticket, you give it to the waiter and take a seat.
My friend ate a classic chashu ramen whilst I had some cold dipping noodles (not entirely sure if they were tsukemen or not). The portions were generous (you can even get up to 2 noodle refills for free!) and the food was great, so for ramen-lovers, this would certainly be a place to visit.
