I’ve visited Miyazakikan twice so far and both times were very enjoyable and Miyazakikan is definitely making my list of recommended places to go in Osaka, especially if you’re craving good japanese steak. The prices here are also very worth it for the amount of food you get.
Their menu is all course meals, and you choose based on how many grams you want your steak to be and also which kind of meat you prefer. I tried different sets in the two times and they were all incredibly delicious. So it’s more a matter of how much you want to eat basically. Also you don’t have to order the exact same weight with whoever you’re with, which is good in case you want more/less than each other.
Since it’s a course meal, they come with entrees and desserts, and some of the more expensive sets have more courses obviously. It’s interesting to try something different each time since even the starter courses are different.
The chef asks you how you prefer your meat and cooks it in front of you. He also gives you basics of how to enjoy each of the first few pieces with their various dipping sauces so you get the best combinations.
As with any teppanyaki place, the chef will light up a huge flame so you can take a video/photos to your heart’s content. They do this around 3 times during the whole meal, mostly when he cooks the meat.
Dessert is by far my favourite (other than the meat of course) course here, it’s incredible how innovative they are. Especially using the bread that was used to soak up the excess oil from the steak to make a crispy addition to dessert. Definitely a must-visit if you want to get some quality japanese steak!
